A stacked bar chart can extend on both sides of a zero baseline - a clean way to show opposing quantities together, like revenue against expenses or gains against losses, per category.
When each category has values that pull in opposite directions - income versus spending, inflows versus outflows - and you want them mirrored around a shared center line.
Provide positive values for one direction and negative values for the other; the bars extend left and right from the zero baseline.
