DataGrid OData

Bind a Blazor DataGrid to an OData service and get server-side paging, sorting, and filtering for free - the grid translates its operations into OData query options ($skip, $top, $orderby, $filter) so only the rows in view are returned.

Data-bind to a service

1. Set the Data and Count properties.

<RadzenDataGrid Count="@count" Data="@employees"

2. Handle the LoadData event and update the Data and Count backing fields (employees and count in this case).

async Task LoadData(LoadDataArgs args)
{
    var result = await service.GetEmployees(filter: args.Filter, top: args.Top, skip: args.Skip, orderby: args.OrderBy, count: true);
    employees = result.Value.AsODataEnumerable();
    count = result.Count;
}

Frequently asked questions

How do I bind a DataGrid to OData?

Point the grid at the OData endpoint; it turns paging, sorting, and filtering into $skip, $top, $orderby, and $filter so the server returns only the rows in view.
